Adulting Essentials: Nutrition and Fitness Simplified is a dynamic 4-week group program designed for teens and young adults (ages 16 and older) to master the fundamentals of nutrition and fitness. Led by special educator, functional nutrition and fitness guru Lauren Parlato. Participant will

  • Understand the basics of nutrition.
  • Learn healthy food swaps.
  • Learn easy ways to incorporate exercise into daily routines.
  • Build sustainable habits that promote long-term health and wellness.

Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm September 10th- October 1st Cost: $270

Adulting: Join our group of young adults as we tackle adulthood together, building friendships and connections. We talk about the stuff we face every day: work, responsibilities, social media, friendships, and dating. Together, we figure out what it means to be a grown-up in today’s world. Come join us as we support each other and form friendships along the way.

The Middle School Social Coaching Group is designed to support students in developing essential conversation and social strategies. Each week, participants will learn new techniques, engage in role-play with peers, and create personalized plans to integrate these strategies into their daily lives. The following session focuses on problem-solving and evaluating the application of the previous week’s strategies, honing their executive functioning skills in planning, execution, and self-assessment. This hands-on approach addresses the common challenges middle schoolers face and empowers them with the tools they need to thrive socially and academically.

The Mastering Conversations Group is dedicated to helping teens and young adults enhance their ability to connect with others. Participants will explore and practice effective conversational strategies designed to foster deeper, more meaningful interactions. Through guided exercises and real-life scenarios, they will learn to navigate conversations with greater ease and confidence, ultimately strengthening their social connections and relationships. This group is ideal for those looking to improve their communication skills and make lasting, impactful connections with others.

In the 4-Week Perspective Taking and Problem Solving Group, participants will explore how perspective taking can significantly enhance social problem solving. By developing empathy, individuals will improve communication and collaboration, crucial for resolving conflicts and finding mutually acceptable solutions. The ability to view situations from multiple angles will help identify root causes of disagreements and create more effective resolutions. Perspective taking also fosters open-mindedness, encouraging creative problem-solving approaches and strengthening relationships through better understanding and trust. This holistic approach will equip participants with the skills needed for more successful and sustainable social interactions in school, at work, in the community, with family and friends .

The 4-week Self-Advocacy Skills Group is designed specifically for teens and young adults. This group will empower participants to confidently navigate school, work, and social situations by understanding their personal strengths and needs, and mastering assertive communication techniques. Throughout the group, attendees will develop a deeper self-awareness and learn to effectively advocate for themselves in various aspects of their lives. By the end of the group, participants will have personalized tools, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed for ongoing success and independence.
